I recently graduated from a masters program at new york university. my time in my program culminated in a thesis which captures the reality of creators and fans in platform environments under the emphatic and tenacious shifting course of neoliberal expansionism. Rather than 2+ years of thinking going to waste (or straight to one company that I happen to be hired by), I’d like to share it.

To dispurse this research, I plan on releasing a set of installments which aims to: set the stage/context, frame the theories at the heart of my thesis and go through a handful of case studies which aims to bring these ideas to life. All in a hopefully semi-digestable, goofy format.

Given my current employment situation [analyst at a major streaming company], I’ll be sharing this through an alias substack.
